Thus every raging fire has been quenched
With torrents of acid rain
Soil succumbing to its poison
Flooded - drowned
Ground water forever stained
Reversing the undertow of ages
Striping bare this unseeded earth
Desolate pastures have given way
To vermin to crawl the plains

A spark which was meant to turn the heavens alight
Now a first drop of a pitch black tar
Upon which layers of sediment are lain
In gradual succession this fen gnaws away

Blocks of eroded bedrock
Lithosphere convulsing bellow
Due to enzymes fed by a moisture
Of a decomposing carrion
Viscera of uprooted forest
Wilted blanket of foliage
To lay forth a foundation
Upon which a barren stronghold shall be raised

A spark which was meant to turn the heavens alight
Now a first drop of a pitch black tar
Upon which layers of sediment are lain
In gradual succession this fen gnaws away

And should these wastes become my domain
Their allure rooting me in
Desintegrating mass of nothing
Forming into ornate halls
With veins of bioluminescent morrow
Enshrining a wretched hollow
Finally a proper throne room
Befitting a monarch of such reign
